Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Dermaplaning - 60 Mins.
During your 60-minute Dermaplaning session we cleanse your skin, use a sterile blade to gently remove peach fuzz and dead cells, follow with soothing serum and hydrating mask, then finish with SPF. Relaxing, precise, and tailored to your skin's needs.
Dermaplaning can be safe for many sensitive skin types with a careful consultation. We assess skin, avoid inflamed areas, and adjust pressure. A patch test or alternate treatment may be recommended if you have active rosacea or recent irritation.
Most clients notice immediate smoothness and brighter skin right after treatment. Improvements build over weeks as cell turnover continues; expect optimal results and easier makeup application between treatments, typically lasting several weeks depending on skincare routine and lifestyle.
We recommend scheduling Dermaplaning - 60 Mins every 4–6 weeks to maintain smoothness and support healthy cell turnover. Your technician will personalize timing based on hair regrowth, skin sensitivity, and your overall skincare goals.
After dermaplaning, skin is more receptive; we advise waiting a few hours before applying makeup. Use gentle, non-comedogenic products and apply broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect the freshly exposed skin and prevent irritation or sun damage.
Dermaplaning isn’t suitable for active cystic acne, open sores, recent chemical peels, or clients currently on isotretinoin. Blood-thinning medications and certain skin conditions may also contraindicate treatment. We require a consultation to review medical history and determine if dermaplaning is appropriate.
